In Chinese culture, the number 8 is considered extremely lucky and fortunate. So today is the 8th day of the 8th month, and if you add the digits 26 in 2026, it’s another 8.
So I’m kinda hoping for that same luck today. Starting off with a trip to Syracuse to drop off my entries for the New York State Fair, and then later going on my first true social date in eight months. Fingers crossed. Well, for a short period of time, in that I still need both hands on the steering wheel to drive to the Fairgrounds and back.
