So … there’s an art gallery in Cincinnati. And they recently asked for a “Call for Art” for an upcoming show called “The Sweep of Time.”
So … I’m feeling like I want to try this. I entered several of my images, and hoped for the best.
Last Friday, I received word – one of my submissions was accepted.
Specifically – this one.

I took this photo THIRTEEN YEARS AGO, as an experiment by modifying a film camera into a manual “slit-scan” shooter. Then I took the camera out to a minor league baseball game and photographed the pitcher as he struck out the side.
And yes, I blogged about it. Because, yeah, I did.
So a month ago, I entered this photo in consideration for a gallery show in Cincinnati, as part of Manifest Gallery’s upcoming “Sweep of Time” physical event.
And a couple of days ago … I received word that The Three-Two Pitch has been accepted into the show. FANTASTIC!!
I ordered a metal “float” print from my metallic printer, ArtBeat Studios in California, and asked them to mail the print directly to the gallery so that they would have it in time for the show.
This is big. And I’m enjoying it.
This is the third “legacy print” this summer to find a new current gallery exposure, joining The Zipless Chuck and The Last Movie in the virtual Art Square New York gallery show last week.
Damn, at this rate, I might find new homes for other legacy photos of mine.
I mean, why not? It’s not like the artworks stopped being awesome with the passage of time, right? 😀
Well, if this doesn’t fit under “Sweep of Time,” I don’t know what would.
Good luck!
