What the Grasshopper Saw will be at charity fundraiser auction!

Last year, I took this photo – What the Grasshopper Saw – and it won some silk in Competition Season.

What the Grasshopper Saw. Nikon Df camera, Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 lens with Kenko 180° lens attachment. Photo (c) Chuck Miller, all rights reserved.

Now I want this picture to help others in need.

I have donated a framed print of What the Grasshopper Saw to an upcoming charity fundraiser.  This picture will help raise funds for the Alshami Family, who suffered a horrifying tragedy when their home burned in Rensselaer.

The fundraiser will take place on Sundasy, March 25th from 11am to 2pm at Casey’s Restaurant, 77 Washington Avenue in Rensselaer.  Suggested donations are $15 at the door.  Kilashandra will perform at the event, and all proceeds will help benefit the Alshami family.

I don’t even want to recap through what that poor family has suffered from.   But I do know this.  The Capital Region is full of wonderful people, people who will give their heart and soul to help others in need.  This is part of our nature.  This is part of who we are.

Let’s show that we can do this.  Please attend the fundraiser and give what you can.

And if you want to claim this artwork for your own … just know that every penny raised will help the Alshamis.

That’s the most important thing we can do.
