A couple of weeks ago, it was Date Night at the Capital District Home and Garden Show, and I brought along my new-to-me Nikon F2s, slapped on a 55mm f/1.2 manual focus non-AI’d lens, and packed a roll of expired Kodak Ektachrome Dyna film in the chassis.
The goal – see if the camera can work for my needs. My camera tech Al at CameraWorks in Waterford fine-tuned the camera, double-checked the viewfinder and light meter, and gave the camera his “I gotcha, Chucky boy” seal of approval.
Again, let me preface this by saying … this is expired film, I only wanted to see how well this camera shoots in indoor low light.
And …
Kinda like the results.
Again … liking what I see. Next step will be to take this camera out for a photo shoot somewhere with a pack of good fresh film inside. If it passes that test …
Then I will be a very happy camper. And I’m good with that.
thumbs up
