My entries for the International 3D photo competition are …

I spent weeks reviewing and deciding which images would make my final four for the upcoming International 3D stereo photo competition in Vienna. This is the last year of the competition; and if I’m going to pull this rabbit out of my hat, I need to grab it by the scruff of its neck and lift with all my might.

So I am allowed only four entries, which must have been captured within the last three years.

With that in mind … after going through each one and ruthlessly knocking out the weakest entries of the batch …

These are the four images that I feel are the strongest entries. You can relax your eyes and the images will blend together.

They include:

PACING THE TROTTER

I had so many ideas for stereoscopy at the harness track, but it was this simple image that really caught my attention.

BENNINGTON COUNTY, 15F

That’s right, folks. It was COLD that day. But I got this photo out of it, so I’m not complaining too loudly. Plus, the feeling has come back in my fingertips, so there’s that.

RAN OUT OF FIREWOOD

Hey, it’s either keep warm or leave the Christmas tree lights in place. In this case, you can achieve both.

REJECTED BY WILLIAMS

I want you to know that I love this picture. I also want you to know that I HATE that the Patroons are getting posterized in this shot. We still won the game, though.

I won’t hear until mid-May as to whether any of these images made the cut. But damn … it would be nice if one of them did.

Hope to hear soon. 😀
