Here’s the thing with me. I’ll get involved in projects, I’ll go full-tilt on those projects, I’ll have fun with those projects … and then, for whatever reason, I’ll just stop. Full stop. Put all the uncompleted projects and their tools away and not look at them or think about them for a very long time.
Such is the case with the drive-in speaker restoration projects. I’ve had a lot of fun with them, I’ve created some decent YouTube videos with them … but a couple of weeks ago, I decided to just stop.
As it is right now, I have two remaining completed videos, and I just posted one of them today. I’ll post the next one in a couple of weeks. Then I’ll move on to a different project. A different concept. A different undertaking.
I don’t know what that undertaking will entail. A return to Dream Windows? A return to crate art? A return to latch hooking? A return to (fill in the blank)?
No idea.
But for now … take a gander at my next-to-last drive-in speaker restoration project. It was inspired by a photo of a 1960 Chevrolet El Camino that was restored and repainted and re-wow-that-car-looks-swank appearance.
Watch and enjoy.
And when I start something new … for sure I’ll post it here.
I mean … that’s what blogs are for, aren’t they?
IMHO, resist “return to” and try something new.
