Yesterday, I took my cameras out for a little photo journey around Albany’s rural areas. And at one point in time, I aimed one of my cameras to the sky… and I got a stunning photo for my efforts.
But it needs a real caption. Something that if I do enter it in competition, it has to be more than “Chuck pointed his camera at the sky.”
So here’s the deal. Give me a good title for this picture… and the person who gives me what I consider the best or most inspiring title for this photo, I will send that person a $15 Subway restaurant card for their trouble.
And here’s the picture.

So can you help a man out? Your best caption or title for this picture could earn you at least two $5 foot-longs and maybe a bag of chips. And I would appreciate your thoughts here.
EDIT: Congratulations to CP Retiree, whose caption “Falling Skyward” impressed me the most. Your Subway gift card is in the mail! And thanks to everybody who participated, there were a lot of great suggestions and titles!
Good one, Chuck.
I suggest “Falling Skyward.”

I think I’d call it something like “Winter Canopy”. I like the shot and the cropping to make it symmetric near the corners with the void in the center. One suggestion: For competition you would want the eye drawn toward that center void, but instead mine is drawn toward that broken limb hanging in the branches at 3 o’clock. I would suggest cloning that out – it would take some care, but it’s definitely do-able. Thanks for sharing!
