The Albany Patroons have fought their way back from adversity throughout this entire postseason. In the opening playoff round, they lost the first of a three-game series against Atlantic City, only to sweep the Gambits in Games 2 and 3 at the Armory to advance. They then had to hold off the Huntsville Hurricane in…

Did Asuka try to steal second base on Becky Lynch? :D
Although I haven’t really watched WWE’s professional wrestling shows of late, I sometimes take a glance if I know that a couple of the promotion’s best wrestlers are competing against each other. That’s usually the case when you get a match between Japanese wrestler Asuka and Irish wrestler Becky Lynch. The two of them work…

There’s only so many times I can travel to the Empire State Plaza and photograph the fireworks show. It’s a fantastic show, don’t get me wrong. But when you have to get there at 4pm for a 9:15 boomtime JUST so you can find decent parking AND you can find a decent shooting spot AND…

I’ve photographed fireworks displays in the past. Big booming fireworks events that can be seen in the next county; small fireworks shows in private lots, and almost everything in between. Last June, during my Hamilton College reunion, I discovered that the College would produce a fireworks show on Saturday night. Of course, now I’m looking…

For me, Competition Season 2022 involves going through all my photos, looking for the ones that will work with the various shows, and hoping I’ll pull a winner out of the mix. Nothing’s guaranteed. And no matter what I consider, Photo X may work at the New York State Fair, but it could bomb at…

I’ve shot infrared film off and on for several years. I’ve shot color Kodak EIR when I’ve had fresh stashes of it; I’ve worked with Kodak HIE black and white film, Aerochrome color infrared film, Efke 820 black and white stock, and a few other mixtures. Some examples are below. Which, of course, gets me…

I enjoy watching All Elite Wrestling. For me, Wednesday night is reserved for AEW Dynamite, and Friday nights are locked in for AEW Rampage. For me, it’s much more exciting than watching WWE wrestling. The storylines make more sense, the action is more realistic, and you get more involved in watching the program each week.…
Read MoreThe Albany Patroons RETURN TO THE FINALS!!
In the end, last night wasn’t even close. The Albany Patroons entered the Washington Avenue Armory and dog-walked the Kokomo BobKats 121-83. Took them out like Glass Joe in Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out. Don’t believe me? Look at that scoreboard. It gets better. With that win, the Patroons are now the champions of the TBL’s East…
