The New Blue Star Families
There was once a time when, in the moments of war, our brothers and sisters left our safe homes and neighborhoods, and fought a vicious enemy in a faraway land. And for those who kept the homefront going while their loved ones were away, their homes were adorned with flags like these. Blue stars, representing…

Yesterday, the Instacart worker who was shopping for my food contacted me. My online shopping list included a pound of 80% ground beef. And the store had none. Not in a one-pound pack – but they did have a pack of five pounds of ground beef. Did I want that? And I had to think…

I had an April Fool’s Day post scheduled for today. I really did. I worked on it for weeks. And to be honest, it was a masterpiece. Yesterday … I shelved it. Maybe I’ll re-run it in 2021, maybe I’ll delete it from my incomplete blog pile. COVID-19 has claimed another bastion of normalcy. Background. …

Deadline came up quickly. But between all my various setbacks this year, I’m still harboring a desire to compete in Competition Season 2020, no matter what or where that “competition season” might entail. So hopefully with today’s roundup of blog posts and photos from the great people on my blogroll today, we can keep our spirits up together. Personally, I’m still self-insulating in an effort…

More Macro Motions
I’m cooped up in the house and I’m trying to remain sane. And in an effort to keep my sanity during this COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve tried to focus – literally and figuratively – on macro photography. I’ve got the Nikon Df on the PB-4 bellows, which works wonderfully – and after I tried several different…
