You know what they call the snow outside right now? Heart attack snow. As in … if you try to shovel it, you could get yourself a heart attack. Best to find some kids who are willing to earn $20 and have them shovel the snow for you.
And while they’re doing that, you can kick back with a hot drink and enjoy this week’s recap of the best in community and independent blogging.
First, let’s go through the Times Union’s portal of independent and community (non-staff) bloggers. And they include:
- Sonja Stark’s “PilotGirl” blog, “Exploring the sands of time at Egmont Key.“
- Roger Green’s “Information Without the Bun” blog, “Dick’s Sporting Goods stops selling assault-style weapons.“
- Rob Hoffman’s “Hoffman Files” blog, “People, people who watch people. (Are the luckiest people … in the world).“
- Brian Huba’s “Cat’s Pajamas” blog, “Pun definitely intended.“
- Frank Robinson’s “Rational Optimist” blog, “The tariffs: economic nationalism or economic madness?“
- Marty Vanags’ Saratoga County Prosperity Partnership blog, “The Economic Impact of a Mouse.“
- Chris Culkin’s ‘Wine and Whiskey” blog, “What to Drink With…“
That’s seven from Big Hearst, now let’s find seven blogs from my personal blogroll. And they include:
- 98 Acres in Albany’s history blog, “A Hudson Avenue Symphony.“
- Aaron Bush’s “Aaron Knits” blog, “Spring Cleaning.“
- Carl Johnson’s Albany history blog “Hoxsie!”, “Col. Furman and the Edison Machine Works.“
- Silvia Lilly’s “DelSo” blog, “21.“
- Roger Green’s ‘Ramblin’ with Roger” blog, “May we e’er our praises sing, with loyal hearts and true.“
- Daniel Berman’s FUSSYlittleBLOG, “16 Hours.“
- Rob Moses’ photography blog, “Puerto Vallarta Sunset.“
Have a great day, everybody, I’m going to go find a couple of kids to shovel my stairs and walk. I don’t have time for heart attacks.
Nobody does.
Oooo, a twofer. thx
I shoveled the snow twice yesterday, once before leaving for work, which actually wasn’t that bad, and again when I got home and moved that wet slushy stuff, and THAT was exhausting.
